Stanley’s

Stanley takes comfort food to a new level with dishes like Eggs Stanley ~ cornmeal crusted fried oysters, poached eggs, Canadian bacon and creole hollandaise on a toasted English muffin ~ and Bananas Foster French Toast.

Facing Jackson Square on the first floor of the Pontalba Building, catty corner to St. Louis Cathedral, Stanley is a unique upscale southern/creole diner serving local dishes with a unique New Orleans twist –including egg dishes, po-boys and one of the best gumbos in NOLA.

Stanley’s was made for brunch. Start off with a Bloody Mary and then go directly to Eggs Stella ~ basically a Creole Eggs Benedict served with a Fried Soft Shell Crab, adding Fried Oysters takes you one step closer to heaven. When dining with 4 or more we always order Gumbo and Red Beans and Rice to share.

Service is top notch but fast paced. Don’t be afraid to tell your server to slow down. Reservations are not accepted. They have a to-go counter located next door where you can order drinks – including the Mega Bloody Mary or Morning Glory ~ Blue Diamond Almond Milk and Van Gogh Espresso Vodka.
