Croissant D’Or Patisserie

Hot fresh French pastries, quiche and café au lait for breakfast – mais oui, bein sur!

Order from the counter and sit back and relax in this converted storefront and courtyard. Try to grab a window table and watch the morning light drift across this residential section of the French Quarter. Lots of timeworn tile, brass, and glass decorate this timeless space.

I like to go here with at least a party of four and order a bit of everything. Expect croissants filled with a variety of sweet and savory – apple, almond, raspberry and creole sausage to name a few. Add an apple strudel to the mix and then dive into savory pastries including spicy sausage potato au gratin and the daily quiche.

Go as early as you can as they run out of the best items as the day progresses. Only open until 3:00 PM. Service is friendly and the pace is slow. It is well worth the wait.
